As you'd expect, the main part of your job is about delivering excellent customer service which is how we have built our reputation - by going that extra mile. First of all, that means welcoming customers behind the desk or in the car park. It means talking through our charges, so that customers know exactly what to expect. And it means dealing with everyone as quickly as possible - speeding them on their way, but at the same time showing really attentive service. There is an element of selling in the role and our best employees are able to see opportunities and suggest additional products and services which meet the needs of our customers as well as help you meet your targets. To join you'll need an eye for detail, excellent customer service skills and the ability to thrive when it's busy. What you don't need is experience in car rental. You might be surprised that most of our people haven't worked in the industry before. In fact, it's much more likely you've got experience in the broader world of face-to-face customer service, for example, in retail, hospitality or travel. There is plenty of scope to progress if that is what you are looking for. Our training programme means you could be a Manager in just four years.
